Droga5 founding partner & joint executive creative director of the
New York office Duncan Marshall is to join the agency's Sydney office.
Marshall,
who has overseen Droga5's award winning campaigns such as Ecko 'Still
Free', 'UNICEF Tap Project' and 'The Million', all of which won
Titanium Lions in Cannes, will take on the executive creative director
role on 1 June.
David Nobay, creative chairman at Droga5
Sydney said the agency had always planned to appoint an ECD when it had
grown large enough.
The Sydney office has grown from three founding partners to 45 staff
in just over two years which it attributes to new business growth over
the past 12 months.
"We just haven't been big enough up to now
to warrant the kind of investment that securing someone as senior as
Duncan takes," said Nobby.
Marshall, who has also held creative roles at Saatchi & Saatchi London and Publicis New York, said his role would help continue to grow the Sydney office.
"Droga5 has always been a global company even when we just had the
New York office, because we've always had clients from all over the
world. I feel I'm continuing to be part of the greater Droga5 company,
just in a more beautiful part of the world. With better coffee," said
Marshall.
"Duncan is without doubt one of our industry's
absolute best - not just as a thinker but as a person. Droga5 Sydney
are damn lucky to get him," said David Droga, Founder and Creative
Chairman at Droga5 in New York.
