About 2009's awards

Now in its fifth year, the CREATIVE Hotshop Award is celebrated as one of the region's most esteemed platforms for exposing local and international creative talent and professionalism.

The Hotshop Awards aim to unveil the industry's most dynamic thinkers who aren't afraid to experiment or break the rules.

It is time to embrace agencies, designers, production and photography studios, who are filtering through new standards by inventing better ways to practice and create.

A judging panel of top creative professionals take part in the judging process to decide the year's winner by ranking each category out of a score of 100.

Judges will be looking for exemplary craftsmanship and execution, strategy and ideas, vision and innovation.

They are asked to rank each entry according to execution, craftsmanship, strategy and ideas, vision and consistency.

Each judge's scores are tallied and averaged in order to scale each company's total score, to compensate that some scored higher across all their entires than others.

Award Categories include: Overall Hotshop Winner; Advertising; Animation; Broadcast Design; Design; Digital & Interactive; Photography; Post Production & VFX; Production; Sound & Music; and, Young Achiever Award.

2009 entries are now open.

Entries close January 29, 2010.
