Australian brand promotion agency Zinc will open a new office in Beijing in December.
After winning a global client requiring on-the-ground support in China the agency's Beijing office will be managed by group account director Michael Kranz and will complement Zinc's existing sourcing office in Hangzhou.
With offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and London, the decision to open a client service office in China was motivated by rapid growth in the sector.
Zinc CEO Peter Cleary said he was excited about the global developments.
“The global client win is the ideal opportunity to expand our brand promotion services to this and other clients in China,” he said. “This is the first time we will be dealing directly with clients based there.”
The new office is the culmination of an eventful year for the agency coming in at number 22 on BRW's 100 fastest growing companies in 2011 and company growth in the past year of 91 per cent.
