Australia is beginning to get into Halloween, but we still have to watch the same old, same old Snickers commercial.
BBDO New York has created a stunningly produced Halloween version of You're not you when you're hungry for American television audiences only. Happily the YouTube edit is the better vesrion of two.
Either version is a rather elegant twist on both the Headless Horseman and the You're not you when you're hungry campaign for Snickers.
When the Headless Horseman is hungry, he's the Horseless Headsman, a floating head that's not scary to trick or treaters. “How is that even scary?” one of them snipes. This is not the desired Halloween response. One of the children offers the Horseless Headsman a Snickers and he becomes himself, the Headless Horseman. Now the children are terrified.
