World Promax Gold for SBS, Engine and US Sydney

Engine and US Sydney's work on Immigration Nation for SBS has won two gold awards at the 2011 World Promax show in New York.

The creative for the controversial series won in the categories of 'Animation and News' and 'Information Program Promotion Campaign Using Integrated Media'.

Engine's executive producer Adam Wells said the awards were a great achievement for SBS and US Sydney.
"To be selected as the production and design studio to work on such great creative is, in itself, gratifying. Immigration Nation was a thoroughly inspiring project to work on, with the agency and Engine teams developing a creative and trusting relationship on the production."

Simon Robson, creative director at Engine said it was an excellent project to have been involved with.
"We worked incredibly well with US Sydney who also gave us great scope to create something unusual for Australian television," he said.

Wells believes the work on the SBS series is the shape of things to come for Engine. From casting to character creation, animation and post – every stage was completed in-house.
"This is something that we are being asked to do more and more of and we see very much as the future of our industry," he said.
