The Design Institute of Australia is extending the entry deadline for the Big Picture Design Challenge.
Calling all Aussie & Kiwi design and photography students / recent graduates, you now have an extra month to submit your entry.
The DIA, in partnership with McDonald’s Australia, launched the Big Picture Design Challenge with the aim of providing opportunities and platforms for young designers and photographers.

THE CHALLENGE: Design images destined for any surface or area at McDonald’s restaurants, which define and promote Australia’s and New Zealand’s diversity.
OPPORTUNITY:
Category winners will share in $4,000 prize monies.
Additionally, 50 finalists will be paid and receive ongoing royalties for their work, which will feature in the annual McDonald’s Graphic Catalogue and be available for purchase by McDonald’s Australia for use in their restaurants.
CATEGORIES:
Photographic Image - Grab your camera and start snapping abstract, lifestyle, active, portrait, or place photographs.
Vector Graphics - Fire up your creative mind and vectorize basic, geometric, abstract, vintage or illustrative graphics.
Mixed Medium Image - Go solo or collaborate with a colleague, create an image that incorporates multiple mediums - photography, painting, collage, etching or tapestry with overlayed vector graphics.
