Tropfest, the world’s largest short film festival, has selected production company Captiv8 to produce the event and broadcast motion graphics for Movie Extra Tropfest and Trop Jr 2011.

Captiv8 will produce the motion graphics to accompany all elements of the event including the opening titles, finalist and winner announcements as well as graphics for the live broadcast on Subscription TV channel Movie Extra.

This year’s Tropfest signature item that must be included in each film is “key”. Captiv8 is working on a unique way of bringing this theme to life beyond the films by setting the scene and creating the overall feel of the festival through motion graphics.

"This year’s creative approach is unique; the scene is set with an animation that shows the story of filmmaking," Corte says.

"Captiv8 is excited to showcase a great graphics package that will enhance the experience for viewers across both broadcast and the live events around the nation."

Tropfest festival and business manager, Paul Stuart, says: "We’ve partnered with Captiv8 again for the 2011 festival because we know they will deliver a set of motion graphics that will excite our audience, either at one of the live events around the country or on Subscription TV channel, Movie Extra."

Movie Extra Tropfest and Trop Jr 2011 will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2011, at the Domain, Sydney, as well as live sites around Australia including Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Hobart, Adelaide, Surfers Paradise and Perth.
