Tropfest Roughcut speakers announced

International screenwriter and producer of the 2011 box office hit Love and Other Drugs, Charles Randolph, will present the keynote address at this year's Tropfest Roughcut.

Also confirmed to speak are Australian film editor Jason Ballantine and Kieran Darcy-Smith, whose new feature Wish You Were Here has been picked to open the Sundance Film Festival this month.

Leading international composer Lisa Gerrard has confirmed she will present at the event, along with Tropfest founder and director John Polson.

Hosted by previous Tropfest winner Rob Carlton, Tropfest Roughcut will be an opportunity for budding and experienced filmmakers to hear from industry heavyweights first-hand. A limited number of tickets to the all-day event will be made available to anyone with at least one film or TV credit.

Tropfest Roughcut will be held in the Domain Theatre in the Art Gallery of NSW, Sydney, on February 18. To secure a place at the event, sign up to the Tropfest newsletter.
