The Sweet Shop has announced the appointment of Andrew Traines to head up the US operations as managing director in Los Angeles.
Traines said The Sweetshop offered a supremely talented roster and in his experience, a global support unique in the world.
"There is an enthusiasm for great work and service that is downright contagious," he said. "My main challenge is to grow their presence in the U.S. and with the help of executive producer Tracy Mays, market the current excellent global roster adding to it top U.S. talent that is up to the level we expect.
As executive producer for directors such as David Fincher, David Kellogg, Mark Romanek, Andrew Douglas, David Slade, Malcolm Venville and Garth Davis, Traines is known for a unique ability to nurture talent - a skill eventually landing him the EP role at Propaganda. He co-led the commercial division at Anonymous and established the production company BRW USA.
CEO and managing partner Paul Prince said Traines' role was a vital asset to North American operations.
"Andy is a hugely respected and a consummate professional who brings a wealth of experience, integrity and leadership," he said. "He shares The Sweet Shop’s philosophy and values - a commitment to creativity, craft and humanity."
