The winners of the third round of oOh!media's BIG Creative billboard awards have been announced – with campaigns by Cummins Ross and The Brand Agency taking the top spots.
The Brand Agency picked up Best Regional Campaign for its Miles from Anywhere creative. Four sinister vultures peer down from a freeway billboard above the text 'Yep, you're miles from anywhere', reminding motorists of the value of RAC membership.
With the tagline 'Mammoth works overtime', Fronterra's Mammoth Milk campaign by Cummins Ross won Best Metro Campaign.
oOh!'s judging panel praised the campaigns' clear and clever messages.
The panel's comments stated: “The Mammoth Milk creative is clear, concise and simple, which makes the branding and messaging really stand out and easy to capture for oncoming motorists.
“The RAC creative clearly reminds drivers of the value of becoming a member of the RAC. The creative is executed perfectly given its location in rural WA.”
The BIG Creative awards were set up by oOh! earlier this year with the aim of improving the standard of billboard creative in Australia.
National oOhroad! Manager Steve Danaher said the awards are about showcasing the most creative and effective billboard advertisements.
“Our research with consumers shows that the five golden rules for any billboard to be most effective are simplicity, clear branding, visual appeal, language and innovation,” he said.
