Melbourne branding agency Tank, in a joint entry with La Trobe University, was a winner at this year’s Australian Marketing Institute 2010 Awards for Marketing Excellence (Victoria).
Tank and La Trobe won in the Brand Revitalisation category for the ‘Infinite Possibilities' positioning campaign. They are now competing in the same category at the national awards to be held in Melbourne on October 13, 2010.
Tank has worked with La Trobe University since 2007, undertaking a brand repositioning of the University to assist in influencing its awareness, ranking and enrolments within the Victorian marketplace.
Since that time the University has experienced a 200 per cent increase in calls from prospective students, a 488 per cent increase in monthly users seeking a course on the University’s online Coursefinder.
“It’s been incredibly satisfying to work alongside La Trobe University to reaffirm and enhance their position as one of Australia’s true innovators and thought leaders in education,” said Tank managing director Neil Shewan.
“Our ‘Infinite Possibilities’ positioning is all about reconnecting the University with their reputation for radical thinking and a sense of belonging – values which are at the heart of their brand," Shewan adds.
