The One Club for Art and Copy will this month induct the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, as well as advertising creative Paula Green and director/producer Joe Pykta into its Creative Hall of Fame.
Jobs will be honoured for a lifetime of contributions to design, branding and communications.
Best know for creating the Avis car rental campaign 'We Try Harder', Green is a pioneer of women in advertising. She has worked for Seventeen magazine, the LC Gumbinner Agency and then DDB – where she became the first female group head. She went on to start her own agency and created memorable work for clients including Goya Foods, the America Cancer Society and The New York Times.
Pykta is considered one of the greatest commercial directors, with more than 5,000 commercials and film projects to his name. His creations include Madonna's controversial 'Make a Wish' video for Pepsi featuring the song Like a Prayer. He also directed videos including The Beatles' Free as a Bird, John Lennon's Just Like Starting Over and Michael Jackson's The Way You Make Me Feel and Dirty Diana.
The new inductees join a long list of past and present creative talents in the hall of fame, including David Ogilvy, Bill Bernbach, Phyllis Robinson and Lee Clow.
