Creative Director and partner at Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Rosie Arnold, has been appointed as the President of D&AD. Widely considered to be one of the most prestigous international positions in advertising the organisation presents it as a 'unique platform to advocate for change in the design, advertising and creative sectors'.
In 50 years Arnold is only the second woman to be elected president during that period ans she plans to use the 50th presidency as a platform to discuss inequality in the sector.
Starting at BBH in 1983, Arnold was behind many of the classic Levi's ads of the 1990s and 1990s and oversaw campaigns for Unilever, Lynx, Pretty Polly amongst others.
As part of her D&AD presidency she has organised a series of public President's lectures by senior women in the creative sector including Jaimie Purlman, Art Director at Vogue; Alexandra Taylor, former Head of Art at Saatchi and Patricia Moore, the sociologist and gerontologist whose studies into age and design led to her being named one of the 100 most influential women in America by ABC.
