Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards

Time is running out to enter the 2009 Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards (SOYA).

By entering SOYA, Australia's emerging artists, designers and creatives aged 30 and under are given the chance to win a 12-month mentorship with industry leaders across seven creative fields: fashion, film, visual arts, visual communications, music, industrial and object design and photography.

This year's mentors include fashion world figures Nicky and Simone Zimmermann, visual arts curator Elizabeth Ann Macgregor, film industry icon Rachel Ward, designer Marc Newson, international photographer Tim Richardson, Vince Frost, and Stephen Pavlovic, the owner and founder of Modular.

SOYA also gives young, talented Australians the financial support they need to share their talents with the world in the form of $5000 in cash and $5000 in flights from Qantas across the seven SOYA categories.

Australia's bright sparks of creativity can enter SOYA 2009 until the closing date of July 31, with all submissions to be made through the website www.soya.com.au.
