Put some pork back on the fork

Australian Pork Limited (APL), the producer-owned organisation supporting and promoting the Australian pork industry, has a new advertising campaign that reprises the nineties catchphrase: 'Get Some Pork on Your Fork' aimed at highlighting the health benefits of eating pork.

APL describes its new TVC as romancing pork through unique Australian humour that promotes the leanness and high nutritional properties of pork.

Using pork's most memorable slogan, 'Get Some Pork on Your Fork', as the platform to underpin the health benefits of pork, APL developed the commercial expressly for particular consumer profiles.

"We have extensively researched these ads with our specific grocery-buying target markets, and the results showed that they are 'highly liked' compared with other grocery ads," says Peter Haydon, APL's marketing general manager.

The new Get Some Pork on Your Fork TVC went through a series of research sessions before being presented for its Commercials Advice (or CAD) television approval and gaining a P classification rating.

The ads were created by The Brand Shop, which was awarded the account last year following a three-way pitch.
