McCann Worldgroup Sydney has appointed award-winning creative Oliver Maisey as its new creative director.
Maisey will also maintain his current position as creative director of McCann New Zealand.
His appointment is part of McCann's reinvention towards a more progressive and less traditional agency structure.
Prior to his current roles, Maisey spent 18 months at BBDO Dubai and has held high-profile posts in New Zealand including ECD at M&C Saatchi, DraftFBC and Generator Bates.
McCann ECD John Mescall said Maisey's appointment forms part of McCann's reinvention into a more progressive agency.
“The way Ollie thinks and behaves makes him a natural leader, and the quality of his creative output speaks for itself,” he said. “Plus, his lack of hair provides a perfect contrast to my oversupply of same!”
Maisey said he couldn’t wait to get started. “I'm incredibly excited about working with Ash in Sydney. Throw into the mix John and Ben in Melbourne, and Greg and the team in Auckland - it's going to be all good.”
