Sydney digital agency New Republique has appointed two new members to its team.
Andrew Jones has worked at some of the world's most well known agencies and has been appointed as creative director whilst mathematician Mark Nelsone joins as a data planning director.
Founder of New Republique Nima Yassini said hiring the pair would shake up the team.
“Mark comes from a traditional mathematical background and has never worked in advertising,” he said. “We believe this is the only way we will grow our industry, by bringing in fresh thinking and perspective into our work.”
The duo will work across all client teams, with a focus on UWS and NAB.
“We separated data and creative for too long,” said Yassini. “These two hires will help us redefine what we are calling internally 'empirical creativity'.”
Jones, whose achievements include a Cannes Silver Lion for the Earth Hour Future is Manmade campaign and an ADMA award, said he is looking forward to new challenges.
“I'm excited to be joining such a forward thinking team,” he said. “I'm impressed with the calibre of clients and projects, and can't wait to further challenge myself with New Republique.”
