Two big names in the world of advertising have confirmed they will be on the executive jury for the New York Festivals' International Advertising Awards next year.
Donald Gunn, author of the renowned Gunn Report, a perceived measure of competitive excellence in the advertising industry, will be a moderator on the jury. Michael Conrad, president of the Berlin School of Creative Leadership, will join him.
Gunn and Conrad will guide the judging proceedings at the event that promises to be the biggest gathering of international chief creative officers ever to judge an advertising competition.
Conrad said he was looking forward to it.
“There are three great reasons to participate,” he said. “A brilliant jury getting the best possible leadership perspective on the state of the ad business, NYF CEO Jim Smyth who is building a relevant and inspiring award show for today's ad industry, and being able to join Donald Gunn as executive jury moderator.”
Michael O'Rourke, NYF president, said the pair was the perfect choice.
“Their experience and reputations project integrity, fairness and a thorough understanding of the advertising industry,” he said.
The awards ceremony will take place in May with and entry deadline of January 27.
