Scott Belsky, founder and CEO of the online platform Behance, and author of the best selling title Making Ideas Happen will tour Australia this August as part of the Portable Talks series.
New York-based Belsky is one of the world’s most influential creative leaders and his online platform Behance empowers and inspires millions of designers and creative professionals each month.
Making Ideas Happen recently made the Wall Street Journal's best sellers list and was labelled a "Swiss army-knife for ideas" by Ji Lee, creative director at Facebook. In 2010, Scott was named in the Fast Company magazine’s "100 Most Creative People in Business".
As part of the Portable Talks series, bringing some of the world’s most influential thought leaders from online and digital industries to Australia, Scott will share insights and practical tips to push bold creative projects to completion.
Behance assists its millions of members via a daily web magazine, an annual conference and the Making Ideas Happen title with over 250,000 followers on Twitter and millions using the online platform.
Working with some of the biggest media and Fortune 500 companies, Scott has presented around the world on the art of harnessing creativity and technology. In Australia he will speak about enhancing work practices to achieve better creative outcomes.
In Melbourne the event will be held at The Australian Centre for the Moving Image at 3pm on Wednesday, August 24. In Sydney it will be held at The National Maritime Museum on Thursday August 25 at 6pm.
