Make peace. You have six weeks to work out how to do it.
“In the creative industries people solve problems every day, communications problems for businesses, brands and products. So we know how powerful creative ideas can be. They persuade, motivate and mobilise people. At their most potent they have the power to change the way people think and behave.”
The D&AD White Pencil is designed to harness that power. It’s awarded to a creative idea with the potential to effect real and positive change in the world.
The 2012 brief is to grow awareness of and engagement with, Peace Day, establishing September 21st as a global, self-sustaining, annual day of peace, when everyone can take action to end conflict in their own lives and in the lives of others.
You just have to come up with a great idea of how to make a big noise around it. And put that idea into action.
The entry site opens on September 3rd. You may execute or run your idea any time up to and including Peace Day. Submissions close on October 24th. Judging and winners will announced in November. All the details are on the D&AD White Pencil website.
It's still about big ideas. One of the big ideas now is where and how you present yours.
