The Brought to you by the Letter T: T-world’s Artist Collaboration with Sesame Street exhibition will take place in Sydney alongside Semi-Permanent 2010 design conference, and brings eight leading designers from all over the globe together with eight of Sesame Street’s most memorable Muppets.
Running from March 19 to 21, at the Pavilion in Darling Park, 'Brought to you by the Letter T' is a free exhibition by aMBUSH Gallery that puts the ‘street’ back in Sesame Street.
Founder and publisher of T-world magazine Eddie Zammit doesn't take no for an answer. When he was told it was impossible to get on the set of Sesame Street it only made him more determined.
“They said we’d never make it, but T-world gained access to the Sesame Street set in New York and returned with a collaboration to rival all others: Bert, Ernie, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, The Count, Grover, Oscar the Grouch and Snuffy are all on board,” said Eddie.
“Sesame Street has lasted the test of time over the past 40 years, capturing the hearts and imaginations of generations. Who better to introduce our favourite characters to yet another generation than outstanding artists who are now parents themselves? Each
character has a unique psychology and our artists have illustrated this in their own unique styles.”
Each of the eight designs will feature on T-shirts as part of the exhibition, and all designers enjoyed an exclusive one-on-one briefing with their Muppet character to capture the essence of what defines each character.
