Latest TVC from directors HEAD

Taxi Film directors ‘HEAD’ (also known as Damon Escott and Stephen Lance) have created a new TVC for the AEIOU Foundation, via SapientNitro.

Actor Toni Collette lent her skills for the voice over, while band Decoder Ring covered the music.

Isaac, who features in the spot, has Autism and two years ago he couldn't talk or make eye contact. HEAD says that he is proof of the AEIOU method's success.

The commercial is shot using the Phantom camera for ultra slow motion shots of actual bubbles made by Australian bubble artist Allan Cullen, while everything else is shot on the Sony F-35.

“We wanted to create a very delicate and beautiful texture that captured the spectrum of colour you see in bubbles, so creating real ones seemed the best and most cost effective way to go,” says director Stephen Lance.

“The bubble is a metaphor in the commercial that represents the barrier between autistic children and the outside world. It’s a fantastic visual way to communicate Autism.”
