It's a Facebook crime to be uncool

Moon’s been doing some digital work for Sunglass Hut, to increase sales and engage generation Y with the Sunglass Hut brand by starting the dialogue between Sunglass Hut and its consumers in social networking circles.

Moon designed and developed a Facebook application called 'Crimes Against Cool', which invited users to find photo’s of their friends on Facebook, in uncool situations, and issue them an arrest.

The friend is notified and upon acceptance of the crime a voucher is issued offer them a value off should they choose to go redeem themselves at their nearest Sunglass Hut.

The aim of the campaign is to position SGH as the true cool curators, encourage a ‘friendship’ with consumers and initiate an interactive, genuine and interesting dialogue between Sunglass Hut and our target consumers.

The application is being supporting by a Facebook ad buy, plus eDM campaign and website referral.

  • Who is using words like funky Muppet!? I think this idea is quite refreshing for a Facebook focussed campaign - being cool by not trying to be no?

  • Damn Muppet, you do have a point...funky no longer!

  • what a load of stinky old cheese. using words like funky do not equate to cool although funky and moon do go together very well if you know what I mean :)
