Hackett Films charms kids and parents

Hackett Films has created a title sequence for a series of online videos for The Department of Education and Training (DET). Designed to assist children and parents prepare for school in NSW, the webisode titles aim to appeal to parents with comedy and vibrant images portraying a "domestic charm".

Well known for producing memorable title sequences for ABC shows such as The Gruen Transfer and My Family Feast, Hackett’s track record at the national broadcaster continues to gain ground with recent projects including Studio 3, iView and ABC Open.

With a design driven approach the company spans TVC, film, music video and TV series production and encompasses the disciplines of live action, 2D, 3D, character animation and motion graphics. The multi-award winning producers took out another gong last year with a 2010 AFI for dirtgirlworld (with mememe productions and DHX Media).

The success of the character-driven identities prompted DET to commission further work for a secondary school DVD resource, an iPhone app mathematics glossary interface, print-ready characters for resource material an ongoing collaboration on the evolving DET web service.
