Grinders Coffee celebrates 50th birthday with Universal Music

Grinders Coffee is teaming up with Universal Music to celebrate 50 years of coffee roasting in Australia.

Coffee lovers across the nation will be able to help Grinders celebrate its 50th anniversary with one million free song downloads.

The campaign, running from May to September, will invite coffee drinkers to purchase a Grinders Coffee and then visit the One Million Songs website to enter a promo code from the coffee cup and choose one of 200 free songs to download.

Grinders is also launching a new addition to its Giancarlo range: the Giancarlo Reserve Roast Single Origin. Made from 100% Arabica beans from Ethiopia, the blend is a traditional premium coffee.

Belinda Brennan, head of brands at Grinders Coffee, is looking forward to an important year for Grinders.
“Coffee and music perfectly complement each other and so we're thrilled to be joining up with Universal Music to celebrate our landmark anniversary,” she said. “With engaging rewards and a delicious new variant, 2012 is set to be the most exciting year yet for Grinders.”

George Ash, president of Universal Music Australia, said the partnership with Grinders is an exciting opportunity.
“We couldn't be more excited to partner with the team at Grinders to celebrate 50 years of the best coffee with the best music; marking their milestone by introducing exciting new musical talent to fans.”
