Freecard campaign for Channel Nine's Hamish & Andy

Hamish & Andy's Gap Year in New York takes on a new level of fan integration with a mix of old and new school technology.

Using the Avant Card freecard media as a tool for audience engagement, Channel Nine will also utilise the material generated as potential content for the program.

Avant Card has produced and distributed 50,000 freecards throughout cafes, universities and highschools encouraging fans to write to the duo, post the cards and tune in to the show when it airs at the end of the month.

A spokesperson from Channel Nine said they wanted to use Avant Card to give Hamish and Andy fans an opportunity to really feel part of the show.
"Looking for ways where audiences can be interactive is essential to everything that we do," they said.

The freecard campaign is a teaser designed to precede an integrated marketing campaign. Hamish & Andy's Gap Year airs at 8.30 on July 28.
