Foxtel celebrates the warm season

Foxtel's new ‘100 Days of Summer’ campaign launches this week, with a 60 second spot directed by Photoplay's Husein Alicajic.

The campaign features Foxtel personalities alongside everyday people, condensing the classic Australian summer experience into 24 hours.

"I really wanted to have a very graphic sense of framing and composition, and at the same time have an intimate emotional connection to the people and action and
keep everything really natural and real," explains Alicajic.
"I kept saying that I wanted it to feel as though we'd just turned up at a small summer holiday town to make a fine-art coffee table style book documenting the Australian summer, but with a really strong contemporary aesthetic."
The director referenced films like Days of Heaven and The New World by Terrence Malick, as well as the work of multimedia artist Doug Aitken, when working on the treatment.
The TVC is set to the track 'Go Do' by the Icelandic singer Jonsi, the lead singer of Sigur Ros.
