A former monk has won 25 thousand dollars cash in the Nine Network/Muffin Break 'Big Break' competition and the broadcast of his winning TVC.
Luke Hogan of Seaham, NSW also took home a $10K home entertainment package and a new notoriety the meditation expert appears well equipped to handle.
Hogan said he had requested a few minutes to collect his thoughts after learning of his win.
“I can’t wait to share my prize with my family, especially my niece who lent her voice to the ad,” Hogan said. “I tried to show Muffin Break as somewhere to relax in what is typically quite a hectic environment at shopping centres.”
Using photographs of muffins baked at his local Muffin Break store on the NSW Central Coast, Hogan created the 30 second TVC campaign Little Nibble. Digitally editing the photographs, he utilised Crazy Talk facial and 2D animation software.
Muffin Break spokesperson Drew Eide said Hogan’s entry cleverly represented the company’s positioning of a place to relax and recharge.
“The adorable characters had every member of the judging panel gushing,” he said. “After much deliberation, we selected Luke’s entry primarily because it embodies Muffin Break’s core values and wide product range. It certainly was not an easy decision and the quality of entries was exceptional showing just how bright Australian talent can shine.”
