Former Happy Soldiers new Idea Gallery

John Kane and Benjamin Sampson have launched Idea Gallery. Former founders of Happy Soldiers, the two possess a deep understanding of creative start-ups.

Idea Gallery aims to flip the traditional idea generation process on its head by opposing the traditional predetermined brief – where the result has ultimately been defined. Instead it plans to put the idea first without obstacle and then find a home for it.

Collectively their ideas have changed categories such as pillows, theatre, travel and banking with work that has been awarded all over the world including Australian Creative Hotshop Awards ‘Idea of the Year’ for the last two years.

Their most recent idea to stamp every Tontine pillow with an expiry date won the highest accolades for idea effectiveness.

The duo has suggested that any past accomplishments however may be child’s play compared to the problem solving ideas that they plan will make up Idea Gallery.

“The ideas should be so powerful that people will question why they don’t already exist,” Kane said.
