After spending over a decade working in the UK and Europe, Australian director Don Cameron has returned home to shoot the latest offering from Target.
Cameron, who has directed commercials for brands such as L’Oreal, Audi, Braun, and H&M London, forged a reputation as a music video director for artists such as Moloko, Blur, Pet Shop Boys and Garbage.
His latest spot for Target, entitled ‘Effortless Denim’, is his first commercial project in Australia. Working with Campaign Palace Melbourne, Cameron created a ‘crowd surfing meets fashion editorial’ concept.
Dancers holding white and red boards created a moving platform that acted as a backdrop for the suspended models.

Very cool ad. So original and just great all round.

i like it. it's a little intriguing at the top, it draws you in, it's a bit sexy, the reveal doesn't give you a complete 'what just happened?' and above all, i believe when talking to women within the retail universe, it's believable, it doesn't feel completely post-produced like a hair or cosmetics commercial. nice one.
