The latest campaign by DDB Sydney for Volkswagen Australia introduces the new Volkswagen Jetta to the Australian family market. Launched on the weekend the TVC, 'Memories' is filmed through the point of view of a young girl. Aimed at creating an emotional connection with viewers the spot tells the story of the special place a first family car holds within family life.
Directed by Mark Malloy, the ad was produced by Exit Films with original music Size Matters composed by Evelyn Morris.
Steve Wakelam, creative director at DDB Sydney said the campaign was aimed at young families making an important decision.
"We wanted young families, or those about to start a family, to consider that the car they buy now could well be the most important one they ever buy. It’s the one their children will remember for the rest of their lives," he said.
The television campaign includes 60, 45 and 30 second spots with print executions, web banners, radio spots and a dedicated microsite.
