Dandelion - bullying is for people with no imagination

A new anti bullying story telling project has been created by Galvin Scott Davis, author and creative director of Sydney agency Protein One.

The story includes a mobile app and book encouraging children to embrace creativity to deal with bullying. The technology is a first, allowing the reader to physically blow dandelion wishes from the screen of the iPad.

Dandelion encourages discussion between parents and children and the genesis of the story itself came about with Davis' own need to invent a story about father and son discussing what makes a bully and how creativity can be used to avoid them.

The story follows the character of Benjamin Brewster as he navigates his way around ‘The School for the Misguided’ and its resident bullies. With no one to turn to, a patch of dandelions appear beside Benjamin which allow him to conjure creations from his imagination and fend off the antagonists.

The project is raising funds through Kickstarter.
