In an interesting marriage of minds production industry veteran Peter Friedman and creative producer Eric Tu opened up an integrated content shop, the New York based F360. Crossing over all aspects of production, the studio has rocketed in its first year and has a rapidly growing cache of exclusive talent on its books including non-fiction documentary directors Evolve, LED technologists Bionic League and viral director/VFX artist Ross Harris.
Known as a master problem solver, Friedman has worked on every global brand imaginable including Coca-Cola, Pepsi, MasterCard, L'Oreal, Army, Verizon and Nike on both agency and client sides. He has worked with McCann, PGA Tour Entertainment, and LucasFilm's commercial production unit.
On the fifth day in business the team closed a deal for a network 10-part original TV series with an immediate 10-month cycle of story development, prep, production, post and finish. Friedman said he saw a need for a new kind of company to harness the best talent to the toughest projects - one that would bridge the gaps between traditional broadcast and new media.
"This is that company. Whether working on TV spots, experiential events, multi-disciplinary interactive projects, or anything else in the production realm, we bring in a hands-on, problem-solving approach,” he said.
"We've been working on the concept for years. We waited for the technology to catch up to where our thought process was and both jumped," he said. "We're in a new and much more exciting world than I've ever seen, with technology that has offered so many opportunities for 'best of breed' artists to work together to service a global brand or network."
