Aussie design shines overseas
Mark Gowing will be opening an exhibition of 40 posters at the 22nd International Biennale of the Poster in Warsaw on June 5, 2010.
The Exhibition of the Laureates of the 21st International Poster Biennale is a private exhibition awarded each year to the Gold Medal winners in each of the three categories -- Cultural Posters, Advertising Posters and Ideological Posters.
Gowing won the Gold Medal in the Ideological Poster category in 2008 for his poster Oil Kills Peace and is returning to Warsaw for this year's event.
The exhibition will feature 40 posters designed by Gowing for both commercial commissions and ideological projects including Hopscotch Films, the Sydney Opera House, Preservation Music and the Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation.
