Alastair Stephen joins The Lab Sydney

After eight years with Sydney-based design and VFX house Engine, Alastair Stephen has joined The Lab Sydney as executive producer.

Stephen has worked with brands, agencies and production companies throughout his career including Fox Sports, NRL, Foxtel, Qantas, Coca-Cola, Channels 7, 9 and 10, the Sydney Dance Company, McCann Erickson, George Patts, Campaign Palace, 3 Drunk Monkeys, DDB, PhotoPlay, Prodigy and @radical.media.

Stephen will be responsible for heading up the colour, design, 3D and VFX departments for the commercial side of The Lab.

He commented: “This is a great move for me as I’ve joined the Lab at an exciting time. At Engine I was responsible for the creative process and management of the company working closely with the producers designers and VFX artists. This new role is much broader in its requirements with new challenges, which I am already getting my teeth into.”

Managing director of Omnilab Media (The Lab’s parent company) Christopher Mapp said, “Alastair is a perfect fit for the role of executive producer at The Lab and the challenges that role brings".
