Agency Nicknack awarded at REBRAND 100 Awards

South Australian branding agency Nicknack, has triumphed at the 2011 REBRAND 100 Global Awards for its strategic approach in developing the Rural Bank brand.

Awarded a distinction, Nicknack shared the stage with top branding consultancies working on global brands such as Audi, United States Mint and YMCA.

Jurors were unaware of the brand strategists’ name and size when judging and 34 countries were represented with big name consultancies such as FutureBrand, Siegel+Gale and MetaDesign all represented.

Nicknack managing director Nick Price said the distinction at the awards was testament to the hard work of his team and the strong relationship with Rural Bank.

"It is an honour to be awarded this accolade in the company of some of the biggest players in our industry across the world," Price said.

"Brand repositioning comes about when there's an organisational change which means a company's brand no longer represents who they are," he adds.

"It’s then about listening, getting to know the client and understanding where they need to be to ultimately assist the organisation to effectively communicate and reconnect to its audience.

"The Rural Bank rebrand is exactly what Nicknack is all about; truly understanding a company’s needs, finding out the market perception and delivering a result that helps to drive business and awareness."

The original brand, Elders Rural Bank, was formed in 2000 as a joint venture between Elders Group and Bendigo and Adelaide Bank. The sale of majority shareholding group Elders saw the brand renamed Rural Bank in 2009.
