A multi-touch experience

ANZ and the bank’s creative agency M&C Saatchi recently joined forces with Object Consulting to introduce Microsoft Surface to the public.

Designed to entertain visitors at ANZ sponsored events, Microsoft Surface technology was chosen for its multi-touch experience.

Microsoft Surface enables friends -- and strangers -- to collaborate and explore content on a 30-inch (76cm) tabletop screen using hand gestures.

“Technology can be empty if not creatively lead,” said Dave Brown, managing director, M&C Saatchi Melbourne.

“It was equally important to have our creative team working in collaboration with the developers at Object Consulting to produce a truly engaging experience," Brown said.

“Watching people explore Microsoft Surface for the first time is intriguing. People would immerse themselves without hesitation. And it’s exciting to think how gesture technology will support new creative ways to deliver product specific experiences in the real world of customer banking.”

He said ANZ applications consisted of rich educational content that unveils insight into the philosophy behind the brand’s “we live in your world” positioning as well as entertaining through multi player game content.

Microsoft Surface aims to bring people together through multi touch technology to share engaging content experiences.

According to ANZ, it sits in line with the brand's vision of ‘people shaped’ banking and simplicity through innovation. Content applications were creatively conceived by M&C Saatchi and developed by Object Consulting.
