Born in Sydney but raised and educated in Perth, photographer Liz Looker travelled extensively overseas, first training as a classical ballet dancer and then working as a fashion model throughout Europe.
A self-taught photographer, her first foray into the world of photography began when she picked up a camera and started shooting model portfolios, studying different faces and learning the craft.
Looker has now been shooting for close to 10 years, shooting advertising campaigns for Levi's, Wrangler, Roxy, Elwood, Jag, Bauhaus, Sportsgirl and editorial shots for publications such as Dazed & Confused, Rolling Stone, Nylon and Marie Claire.
Most fascinated by people, the arts and culture, Looker spent the majority of 2009 travelling throughout South America, Russia and China snapping photographs for a personal exhibition, all taken on polaroids.
