Collective Force collect (9)

Two Lions were awarded to campaigns shot by Collective Force photographers during Cannes award week. Kerry Wilson, a Kiwi photographer based in Sydney, shot the Landrover outdoor campaign which picked up a Bronze Lion in the outdoor section for Y&R Beijing. And, Alistair Guthrie is chuffed that his black and white photography for ‘The Vigneron’, which won Alt Group a Gold Lion in the book category.

"It's great that the photographers we represent are still doing so well in the international arena," said Christina Force, agent and founder of Collective Force.

Part of the strength of Collective Force lies in its diversity, with Wilson and Guthrie involved in almost polar opposite campaigns.

The campaign for Y&R Beijing saw Wilson shooting in rural China and outback Australia, and then reshooting and dropping in both the model and the car on the original shot. Shadows were added to compete the image.

Guthrie's work, on the other hand, is much more pared back. The black and white photographs of the late New Zealand wine industry pioneer Najib Coban's traditional tools were shot on film and featured in a book along with Coban's poetry.

Force commented that as time passes it's not always the same people in the spotlight, a testament to both the diversity of clients and talent of the photographers at the agency.
