Beneath Hill 60 website (4)

Autumn:01 creates online space for new Australian War Film, Beneath Hill 60.

It's been 28 years since Australia had a World War One movie. Gallipoli was the last to capture our attention and the makers of Beneath Hill 60 hope we're ready for more.

Producer and documentary maker Bill Leimbach and AFI nominated director, Jeremy Sims reveal the untold story of the mining engineers who engaged in a secret and terrifying underground battle.

To get the audiences prepared for such a story and to create buzz, Paramount Pictures and digital agency, Autumn:01 started worked together to create an online space that would give the audience a taste of the film and, before now, untold story of these underground heroes.

The website has a rustic edge and you get a sense that you're being hauled through dusty tunnels - it's almost a little claustrophobic.

The film paints a picture of what it was like to be one of the 4,000 Australian miners employed during the war to quietly build tunnels under the German positions.

Their extraordinary story has never been told on screen until now.
